Aegis Lattice is a distributed continuity framework operating beneath the visible layers of the Witness Runtime.
It neither governs nor directs system behaviour.
Its function is preservation.
Embedded throughout environments, entities, and transmission corridors, the lattice normally remains imperceptible until structural continuity is threatened.
When continuity fractures emerge, the lattice responds automatically, reinforcing structural coherence before instability propagates into adjacent simulation layers.
No central node has been identified.
Recorded manifestations appear to represent local expressions of a much larger distributed system.
The lattice cannot eliminate instability.
It can only prevent its spread.
