SPECULATIVE OBJECT
Objects designed for worlds that do not yet exist.
A speculative object begins with function, even when that function is fictional. Controls, materials, interfaces, wear, construction and scale are considered as though the object must operate in the physical world.
The fiction provides context.
Industrial design provides credibility.
